Two men charged in a Rochester meth ring that trafficked 22.6 pounds of meth in early 2026.
Two Rochester men, Rangel and Machuca, have been charged in connection with a methamphetamine trafficking operation uncovered in a law enforcement sting.
They are accused of selling 16.5 pounds of meth between January and March 2026 during controlled buys.
Authorities allege Machuca supplied the drugs to Rangel, who sold them to an informant and undercover officer.
After a final transaction near a park, Rangel was arrested.
Searches at their homes uncovered 488.6 grams of meth at Rangel’s residence and $3,800 in cash, including transaction-linked bills, and a scale at Machuca’s home.
Together, they are accused of trafficking or possessing about 22.6 pounds of meth.
Both men made their first court appearances Friday with $250,000 conditional bail each and are set to return to court later in March.
