OneOTT and Uttar Pradesh to bring broadband to 2M households via Project GANGA, creating 100K jobs and training 10K local entrepreneurs.
OneOTT Intertainment Ltd., a Hinduja Group subsidiary, has signed an MoU with Uttar Pradesh’s State Transformation Commission to expand broadband to over 2 million households under Project GANGA.
The initiative, launched in Lucknow, aims to connect rural and underserved areas within two to three years, training 8,000 to 10,000 local entrepreneurs—especially women—as Digital Service Providers.
It will provide infrastructure, financing, and technology support, creating over 100,000 jobs and improving access to digital education, healthcare, and government services.
The project leverages existing fiber networks serving over 5 million homes.
