A man has been charged with murder after a woman’s body was found drowned near Henley, UK, on March 6.

A 44-year-old man, Nelio Gouveia of Henley, Oxfordshire, has been charged with murder after a woman’s body was found near Phyllis Court Drive on March 6. Thames Valley Police confirmed the cause of death was drowning following a post-mortem. The area, including the Phyllis Court Club and towpath, was cordoned off. Gouveia was remanded in custody and appeared at High Wycombe Magistrates' Court on March 9. The victim’s identity has not been released, but her next of kin have been informed and are receiving support. The investigation remains ongoing.
