Bangladesh seeks IFAD support for rural water and climate resilience on March 9, 2026.
On March 9, 2026, Bangladesh’s Local Government Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir requested support from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) to boost rural development and improve safe water management in rural areas.
The request came during a meeting with IFAD Country Director Dr. Valantine Achancho, who reaffirmed IFAD’s commitment to collaborating on climate resilience and disaster-affected communities.
