The Arizona Cardinals have restructured James Conner’s contract to retain the running back for the 2026 season, following a season-ending ankle injury in 2025.
Conner, a two-time Pro Bowler, previously recorded back-to-back 1,000-yard rushing seasons in 2023 and 2024 and has 6,065 rushing yards and 60 touchdowns in 110 career games.
The terms of the restructured deal were not disclosed, but it avoids his projected $9.8 million cap hit.
The team also reworked cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting’s contract after he missed the 2025 season due to a knee injury.
