ACDelco is back in India via a licensing deal, producing batteries and lubricants in Hisar with plans to expand.
ACDelco, the aftermarket brand of General Motors, has returned to India through a licensing deal with Assurance Intl Ltd, restarting operations after closing in 2020 following GM’s 2017 exit.
The partnership will produce and distribute ACDelco batteries and lubricants at a Hisar, Haryana facility, with plans to expand into filters and other products.
Assurance Intl will use its network of 260 distributors and 20,000–25,000 retailers to roll out the brand, targeting Rs 75–100 crore in revenue within three to four years.
The relaunch focuses on quality and support for existing GM vehicles and other brands, without confirming a broader GM market re-entry.
