The Telangana Legislative Council has moved to a restored Nizam-era building in Hyderabad, officially inaugurated on March 8, 2026, by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.
The 18-month, Rs 30 crore renovation, done with the Aga Khan Trust for Culture, modernized the 1913 structure with updated infrastructure while preserving its Indo-Saracenic architecture.
Previously used by the Andhra Pradesh Assembly and Council, the building now hosts the Legislative Council, unifying both houses on one campus.
The Budget Session will be the first to take place there, with Jubilee Hall repurposed for events and a new central hall planned for joint sessions.
