Fish landings in Oman reached 723,011 tonnes by November 2025, a 4.6% increase from the same period in 2024, with total value rising to OMR 481 million, up 4.9%. Artisanal fishing dominated with 641,836 tonnes, a 3.1% rise, led by Al Wusta and South Sharqiyah governorates. Commercial fishing surged 20.4% to 73,614 tonnes, while coastal fishing rose 1%. Small pelagic fish were the top catch at 326,792 tonnes, followed by large pelagic and demersal fish, with sharks, crustaceans, mollusks, and unclassified species also contributing.
