The Nets sent rookie Drake Powell to their G League team to regain his form, where he's since averaged 15 points in three games.
The Brooklyn Nets have assigned rookie Drake Powell to their G League affiliate, the Long Island Nets, on February 27 to help him overcome a shooting slump.
After averaging 6.4 points in his first 30 NBA games, Powell’s efficiency dropped, shooting 35.4% from the field and 20.9% from three in his final 17 games.
Since joining Long Island, he has averaged 15.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in 29.3 minutes over three games, including a 21-point outing.
The move aims to give him increased playing time and confidence in a lower-pressure environment, following a similar path taken by Nolan Traoré.
Meanwhile, fellow rookie Ben Saraf has seen expanded minutes, averaging 5.8 points and 2.8 assists in his last four games.
Los Nets enviaron al novato Drake Powell a su equipo de la G League para recuperar su forma, donde desde entonces ha promediado 15 puntos en tres partidos.
