Arkansas coach John Calipari earned his 900th career Division I men’s basketball victory on March 7, 2026, with an 88-84 overtime win over Missouri, becoming the fifth coach in history to reach the milestone.
The win came without top player Darius Acuff Jr., who missed the game due to an injury.
Calipari, now in his second season at Arkansas, joins Mike Krzyzewski, Jim Boeheim, Rick Pitino, and Roy Williams as the only coaches with 900 wins.
At 67, he is the second-youngest to reach the mark and the third-fastest, doing so in 1,185 games.
He has led five programs to the Final Four and won a national title with Kentucky in 2012.
Missouri’s Dennis Gates praised Calipari’s achievement as a career goal.
