Jesse Wilson, 65, was arraigned on aggravated murder charges for allegedly ambushing and shooting Jessica Hardy, 36, in an Avondale apartment, with evidence including a threatening letter and surveillance video.
Jesse Wilson, 65, of East Price Hill, was arraigned on March 7 on aggravated murder charges for allegedly shooting 36-year-old Jessica Hardy in the head inside an Avondale apartment building.
Police say Wilson waited in ambush, and the shooting was captured on video.
Prosecutors cite physical, electronic, and video evidence, including a threatening letter Wilson sent in September stating Hardy could “ride with him or die with him.” Wilson, who has a prior homicide conviction in Georgia, denies the charges.
His attorney argues he is not a flight risk, noting his 20-year residence in Cincinnati and steady employment as a driver.
A grand jury is expected to review the case by March 16 to decide whether to move it to felony court.
Wilson remains held at the Hamilton County Justice Center with a $3 million bond.
