Born in 1978 in Henan Province, she made history in 2012 aboard Shenzhou-9 and later commanded the 2022 Shenzhou-14 mission, spending 183 days in orbit during the completion of the Tiangong space station.
In January 2026, she led China’s first astronaut cave training exercise as team commander, preparing for future deep-space and lunar missions.
