Amritpal Singh, a fugitive gangster linked to the Jaggu Bhagwanpuria network and wanted in connection with multiple murders, drug smuggling, and extortion cases in Punjab, has been arrested at the Moldova-Ukraine border.
The detention, confirmed by Punjab Police and supported by Interpol, followed a Red Notice issued at India’s request.
Singh, a native of Batala, had evaded capture for years using a fraudulent passport and was reportedly involved in ongoing extortion activities targeting businesses in the Amritsar region.
The arrest resulted from international cooperation involving Punjab Police, the CBI, Ministry of External Affairs, and Interpol.
