The Aga Khan Foundation has committed $100 million over five years to the UAE-led Edge of Life campaign, which aims to rescue five million children from hunger worldwide.
The initiative, launched by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum during Ramadan, seeks at least $273 million in total funding and is being implemented with partners including UNICEF and Save the Children.
Additional pledges include AED 7 million from Dubai Duty Free and AED 1 million from Emirati businessman Ali Obaid Belresheed Al Ketbi.
The campaign focuses on combating malnutrition in vulnerable regions across Asia and Africa, with efforts expanding to Afghanistan, Pakistan, Syria, and Tajikistan.
Donations are accepted through multiple platforms, including the campaign’s website, DubaiNow app, and Jood.ae.
