Ashutosh Brahmachari, who filed a sexual abuse complaint against Hindu seer Swami Avimukteshwaranand, was attacked with a razor on the Rewa Express near Sirathu station in Uttar Pradesh, sustaining injuries to his nose and forearm. He survived by locking himself in a train restroom, alleging the attacker threatened him and claimed a Rs 21 lakh reward was offered for his harm. Brahmachari, en route to a court hearing, reported the assailant may have followed him from Ghaziabad. Police are investigating, reviewing CCTV footage, and probing links to the earlier FIR filed on February 21, which accused the seer and others of abuse during religious events. The seer denied knowledge of the reward, calling for peaceful discourse. Brahmachari has requested police protection.
