A tiny Doberman cross Collie puppy named Holly, born on Christmas Day 2025, received urgent veterinary care in February 2026 after being rescued with her mother and seven siblings. At eight weeks old and weighing 5.1kg, she was diagnosed with an undershot jaw, impetigo, and scabs, with painful lower baby teeth pushing into her mouth. On February 17, she underwent complex surgery under anesthesia involving X-rays, nerve blocks, IV fluids, and careful tooth extraction. Post-surgery, she requires soft food, antibiotic treatment for skin lesions, ongoing dental monitoring, and has been vaccinated, microchipped, and treated for parasites. Eden Animal Rescue says the care was essential for her health and is fundraising to cover costs.
