Nationwide is mailing new debit cards 2–3 weeks before expiry, requiring a PIN purchase to activate contactless; 0% green loans up to £20,000 expand to 10,000 households.
Nationwide Building Society has confirmed that new debit cards are typically sent out about two to three weeks before the current card’s expiry date, ensuring timely arrival.
Customers can use the new card immediately, though a PIN-verified purchase is required to activate contactless payments.
Cards are mailed separately from PINs, and those inactive for six months must request replacements by phone.
The society also plans to expand its 0% Green Additional Borrowing scheme to 10,000 households, offering loans of £5,000 to £20,000 at up to 90% loan-to-value.
Further details are available on the Nationwide website or via customer service hotline.
