The ICC has named England’s Richard Illingworth and Alex Wharf as on-field umpires for the 2026 T20 World Cup final between India and New Zealand, set for March 8 at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium.
Illingworth, returning for his second consecutive final, previously officiated in the 2024 final and major ICC events.
Wharf, who joined the elite panel in 2025, has worked in the 2023 Men’s World Cup and the semi-final between New Zealand and South Africa.
South Africa’s Allahuddien Paleker will serve as third umpire, Adrian Holdstock as fourth umpire, and Andy Pycroft as match referee.
The officials were confirmed on March 6, 2026.
