The Good Hope Lady Raiders won the 2026 AHSAA Class 4A girls basketball state championship, defeating Plainview 59-54 at Legacy Arena on March 6. It marked their second title in three years and completed a perfect 7-0 postseason run. Ella Davis led all scorers with 18 points and was named Final Four MVP, while key plays from Ella Gossett and Lucie Adams helped secure the win. Good Hope improved to 30-6 on the season, becoming the first team to win a Northwest Regional and then claim the state title. The victory ended Plainview’s streak of four Final Four appearances without a title. Cullman County now has five teams with deep playoff runs, contributing to a growing basketball legacy in the region.
