Four undocumented immigrants, all alleged MS-13 members from El Salvador, have been indicted in the 2025 murder of 14-year-old Jefferson Amaya-Ayala in a Maryland park.
The suspects—Jose Merlos-Majano, 18, Alan Josai Garcia-Padilla, 21, William Cuellar Gutierrez, 19, and a 17-year-old—face charges including first-degree murder, firearm use in a felony, and gang participation.
Amaya-Ayala was last seen August 2, 2025, and his body was found in November.
Authorities say he died from multiple injuries in a gang-related incident, though the motive remains under investigation.
DHS confirmed the suspects are nationals with prior criminal records, including weapons offenses and fraud, and two were previously arrested and released during the Biden administration.
