Deanna Hall, 37, sentenced to four years for fentanyl trafficking and one month for violating house arrest conditions, was caught on surveillance near her home while on strict release.
Deanna Hall, 37, of Norfolk County, was sentenced twice in one day after being convicted of trafficking fentanyl and breaching her release conditions.
While on strict house arrest, surveillance footage showed her multiple times in an alley near her home, violating her court-ordered restrictions.
She had been arrested in August 2023 on an outstanding warrant.
In Superior Court, she received a four-year sentence for fentanyl trafficking, and in Ontario Court, a concurrent one-month sentence for the breach.
Justice Elizabeth Wilson noted her actions risked her own arrest and financial liability to her surety, but the short sentence for the breach was due to the severity of the earlier prison term, not the violation itself.
