C&C Group has acquired the Scottish craft beer brand Innis & Gunn from administration for £4.5 million, saving the company from collapse. The deal, which includes the brand’s intellectual property and operations, follows years of collaboration, with C&C already brewing Innis & Gunn at its Glasgow brewery. The acquisition, expected to have minimal disruption, will integrate the brand into C&C’s existing supply chain and distribution network, with a small positive impact on financial performance in the 2027 fiscal year. Despite the brand’s survival, over 100 jobs were lost, and the Perth brewery and taprooms in Glasgow and Edinburgh closed. The founder expressed sorrow over the closures but welcomed the brand’s continuation under new ownership.
