Turkic states' foreign ministers meet in Istanbul to boost cooperation on global and regional issues, including Middle East tensions and security.
Foreign ministers from Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan will hold an informal meeting in Istanbul on March 7, hosted by Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, to discuss regional and global challenges, strengthen cooperation within the Organization of Turkic States, and promote unified diplomatic efforts on issues including the Middle East conflict and attacks on third countries.
The gathering will also address regional security, with Azerbaijan managing evacuation efforts amid tensions, and include discussions on expanding the OTS through a proposed "OTS+" format.
Bilateral talks and a collective meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan are expected.
