Sunsure Energy secures 8 MWp solar deals with South Korean auto parts firms in India, cutting thousands of tons of CO₂ annually.
Sunsure Energy has signed solar Power Purchase Agreements with Daeseung Autoparts India and Ilgahng Automotive, subsidiaries of South Korean firms, to supply 8 MWp of solar power from its Ilayangudi plant to facilities in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu.
The deals will provide Daeseung with about 8 million units annually, covering nearly 60% of its needs and cutting 5,800 tonnes of CO₂ yearly, while Ilgahng will receive 4.7 million units, reducing emissions by 3,400 tonnes.
The agreements support industrial decarbonisation and energy resilience, part of Sunsure’s broader expansion in India, where it aims for 10 GW of renewable capacity by 2030.
