A human skull found in Bristol, New Hampshire, in 1986 has been identified as Warren Kuchinsky, a man born in 1952 last seen in the mid-1970s, officials announced on March 5, 2026.
Using DNA from a surviving family member and genetic genealogy, investigators from the New Hampshire State Police, Attorney General’s Office, University of New Hampshire, and the nonprofit DNA Doe Project confirmed the identity in 2025.
The case, which remained unsolved for nearly 40 years, showed no evidence of foul play.
