Providence College will not renew coach Kim English’s contract after the 2025-26 season.
Providence College men’s basketball coach Kim English will not return after the 2025-26 season, according to multiple reports, despite remaining in his role through the team’s final regular-season game and the Big East Tournament.
The Friars, with a 14-16 record and 7-12 in Big East play, are set for their third straight postseason absence under English, who compiled a 47-50 overall record in three seasons.
The decision follows a decline in performance after a strong start, including no NCAA Tournament appearances.
The school has not issued an official statement, and Athletic Director Steve Napolillo will lead the search for a new head coach.
English, who previously coached at George Mason and played at Missouri, will coach the team through its final games.
