PKR sues six former MPs for RM60M over 2020 defection that collapsed Pakatan Harapan.
PKR has sued six former MPs—Baru Bian, Kamarudin Jaffar, Mansor Othman, Mohd Rashid Hasnon, Saifuddin Abdullah, and R. Santhara Kumar—for allegedly breaching party loyalty agreements by defecting during the 2020 Sheraton Move, which helped collapse the Pakatan Harapan government.
The party, represented by secretary-general Fuziah Salleh, seeks RM10 million from each, totaling RM60 million, claiming the defections caused significant damage to its mandate and campaign investments.
The lawsuit stems from bonds signed by the MPs in 2018, requiring financial penalties for leaving the party or joining another coalition.
The case is scheduled for management on March 27, with no ruling yet issued.
