President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointments of 65 ambassadors-designate to Nigerian diplomatic missions worldwide, including key posts at the United Nations, following Senate confirmation in December 2025.
The group includes 31 non-career appointees and 34 career diplomats, with notable figures such as Senator Jimoh Ibrahim as Nigeria’s UN envoy, former INEC chairman Mahmood Yakubu to Qatar, and former Aviation Minister Femi Fani-Kayode to Germany.
