James E. Hall, former NTSB chairman and Chattanooga airport leader, to be inducted into Tennessee Aviation Hall of Fame in September 2026.
James E. Hall, chairman of the Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport Authority and a Signal Mountain resident, has been selected for the Tennessee Aviation Hall of Fame.
Recognized for his decades of service in aviation safety and public leadership, Hall served as chairman of the National Transportation Safety Board from 1994 to 2001 and held key roles in Tennessee state government.
His work helped shape national aviation safety standards and contributed to the growth and security improvements at Chattanooga Airport.
The induction ceremony is set for September 26, 2026, in Murfreesboro.
