Indonesian police have identified the decomposed and mutilated remains found on a Bali beach as those of 28-year-old Ukrainian tourist Ihor Komarov, who was kidnapped on Feb. 15 in Jimbaran.
DNA testing confirmed the match using samples from his mother.
Komarov was taken during a motorbike ride with a friend, who escaped and reported the abduction.
Authorities arrested the man who rented the vehicle used in the crime and issued international red notices for six foreign suspects believed to have fled Indonesia, possibly with multiple passports.
Police are investigating the motive, with no official confirmation of a ransom demand or prior criminal links.
The case remains under active investigation with Interpol and international partners involved.
