Michael Tapscott, a former New York state police officer and DARE instructor, pleaded guilty to 40 drug-related charges for selling Adderall while on duty and in his squad car.
The 13-year veteran of the Geneva Police Department admitted to soliciting both officers and civilians to buy drugs, prompting a joint investigation that began in April 2025.
Four other former officers were charged in connection with the case.
As part of a plea deal, Tapscott will serve 16 weekends in jail and five years of probation.
