Delhi Police deported five Nigerian nationals in February 2026 from Dwarka after verifying they were residing in India without valid visas, as part of a broader crackdown on illegal foreign residents.
The individuals, including Matthew Chikwado Onuwa, Paul Onyekachi Ekwenze, Aiyuguhjh Elvis, Christopher Uchechukwu Kalu, and John Nnamdi Okafor, were apprehended during verification drives, processed by the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO), and held in detention before repatriation.
The action followed a similar January operation in the South-West District, where two other Nigerian nationals were arrested based on a tip-off during night patrols and also found to be without proper documentation.
The police emphasized ongoing enforcement of immigration laws through intelligence-led operations.
