UK funds £10.4M job program in Swindon and Wiltshire to help disabled people and those with health conditions find work.
The UK government has pledged up to £10.4 million to Swindon and Wiltshire through the Connect to Work programme, launched on March 5, 2026, to support disabled individuals and those with health conditions in overcoming employment barriers.
The funding, part of the £3.5 billion Get Britain Working initiative, will provide personalised job coaching, matching services, and ongoing support to up to 2,600 people, with access available in community settings.
The programme aims to reduce the region’s disability employment gap, which stands at 21.4%, and is one of several efforts to boost inclusive employment, backed by over £950 million in total UK investment.
