Russ Meyer Jr., former chairman and CEO of Cessna Aircraft Company, has died at 93. He led Cessna from 1975 to 2003, playing a key role in launching the Citation business jet line and helping pass the 1994 General Aviation Revitalization Act, which stabilized the industry. Meyer received multiple aviation honors, including two Collier Trophies and induction into the National Aviation Hall of Fame. He founded Wichita’s 21st Street Training Program to support underserved communities and championed youth and healthcare initiatives.
