A $30,000 reward has been added to the existing $2,500 bounty, raising the total reward for information leading to the arrest of Danell Maxwell, a 40-year-old Memphis man wanted for the Feb. 26 shooting of a Memphis police officer during a traffic stop.
Maxwell, described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 180 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, is considered armed and dangerous and was last seen wearing dark clothing and an orange and green reflective vest.
He faces charges including attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault, and using a firearm during a dangerous felony.
A statewide Blue Alert has been issued, and authorities urge the public to contact the Memphis Police Department, TBI, or use the USMS Tips app if they have information.
The officer shot in the incident has been released from the hospital.
