1st Class Noah Tietjens, a 42-year-old Nebraskan soldier killed in an Iranian missile strike on a military operations center in Kuwait.
The attack killed six U.S. service members, including Tietjens, who was assigned to the 103rd Sustainment Command and supporting Operation Epic Fury.
Pillen expressed sorrow over the loss, calling it a profound sacrifice, and urged the public to pray for Tietjens’ family and all military personnel serving in dangerous conditions.
The flag order took effect immediately and will remain in place until sunset on the day of Tietjens’ interment.
