A man was shot and killed at a Missoula gas station by four bail bondsmen attempting a bond revocation.

A man was killed in a shooting Wednesday afternoon at a Town Pump gas station in Missoula, according to police. The victim, reportedly a fugitive from Billings, was allegedly targeted by four bail bondsmen attempting a bond revocation. The individuals involved were wearing clothing identifying them as fugitive recovery agents. Officers responded shortly after 3:30 p.m., found the man deceased, and began an active investigation. Two of the bail bondsmen are being interviewed, and all individuals have been accounted for. Over 15 law enforcement units from multiple agencies were present. Additional details are pending.
