Los Angeles unanimously protects the Brady Bunch house as a historic landmark, honoring its cultural and TV legacy.
The Los Angeles City Council has unanimously designated the "Brady Bunch" house at 11222 W. Dilling St. in Studio City as a historic-cultural monument, preserving the 1959 mid-century home tied to the 1969–1974 TV series.
Though interior scenes were filmed on a soundstage, the home’s exterior became a symbol of 1970s suburban life.
The designation, recommended by the Cultural Heritage Commission, follows renewed public interest after HGTV’s 2019 renovation series and the property’s 2023 sale to fan Tina Trahan, who opened it for a charity event.
The landmark status ensures its protection as a cultural icon reflecting American television history.
