Hong Kong’s education week highlighted its global academic rise, attracting 3,500 international professionals and showcasing its top-ranked universities and internationalized campuses.
"Study in Hong Kong" Week, held Feb. 23–March 1, 2026, showcased Hong Kong’s rising global education profile amid the APAIE 2026 Conference, drawing over 3,500 international education professionals.
Five Hong Kong universities rank among the world’s top 100, and the city leads globally in university internationalization, with 25% of students and 70% of academic staff from outside Hong Kong.
Secretary for Education Dr. Christine Choi highlighted Hong Kong’s strategic position under “one country, two systems,” global connectivity, and strong academic infrastructure.
The event promoted partnerships across the Asia-Pacific, especially with ASEAN and Belt and Road nations, and featured campus tours, exchange programs, and meetings with officials from Slovakia and Vietnam.
