The ADC claims its digital registration was sabotaged by fake entries, challenging the fairness of Nigeria’s new election rules.
Vice President Kashim Shettima accused the African Democratic Congress (ADC) of hypocrisy, claiming its digital membership portal was flooded with fake entries shortly after launch, despite the party's prior advocacy for electronic election results.
Speaking at an interfaith event in Abuja, Shettima dismissed opposition concerns as misinformation, asserting the ruling APC is stronger than in 2023.
The ADC said technical issues including fictitious identities were corrected and criticized the new Electoral Act 2026, calling its 32-day deadline for digital membership registration across all states impractical.
The party also rejected INEC’s revised 2027 election timetable, citing unfair disadvantages compared to the APC, which began digital registration in February 2025.
La ADC afirma que su registro digital fue saboteado por entradas falsas, desafiando la equidad de las nuevas reglas electorales de Nigeria.
