ACT police seek owner of WWII-era military medals found in Giralang grassland.

ACT Policing is seeking the owner of a collection of historic military medals and badges found in a grassland reserve near the Barton Highway in Giralang on March 2, 2026. The items, believed to be primarily from the British Army and possibly dating to World War II, were turned in to Belconnen Police Station by a member of the public. Authorities are urging potential owners to contact Crime Stoppers anonymously using reference number 8318634 and provide proof of ownership, as the items remain in police custody pending identification.
