Worcestershire has launched a new Local Nature Recovery Strategy to combat biodiversity loss and restore its natural environment.
The plan, developed by Worcestershire County Council with input from environmental groups and local stakeholders, encourages residents, landowners, and businesses to take actions like creating hedgehog highways, building wildlife ponds, planting orchards, and restoring river meanders.
These efforts aim to improve biodiversity, air and water quality, soil health, and flood management.
The strategy aligns with England’s national Nature Recovery Network and is one of 48 such plans being created across the country.
