Waterland buys majority of Palletways to expand its European pallet freight network.
European private equity firm Waterland has acquired a majority stake in Palletways, a UK-based palletised freight network, to support its expansion across Europe.
The investment will enhance Palletways’ hub-and-member model, digital platforms like the Palletways Portal, and infrastructure, while maintaining its existing management and operations.
The company, founded in 1994, operates 23 hubs in 25 countries, handles over 10 million pallets annually, and serves key markets including the UK, Germany, and Italy.
Waterland cited long-term logistics demand driven by e-commerce and supply chain complexity as key reasons for the deal.
