Thailand’s Election Commission certified the results of the February 8, 2026, general election, confirming 499 of 500 seats in the lower house, with Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul’s Bhumjaithai Party winning the most seats.
The commission validated all 100 party-list MPs and three additional constituency MPs, completing the process after earlier confirmation of 396 constituency seats.
A total of 37.8 million voters, about 71% of eligible voters, participated.
The new parliament is set to convene within 15 days to elect a speaker and prime minister, with Bhumjaithai planning a coalition that could hold around 292 seats.
The certification paves the way for a new government expected to take office in April.
