Construction begins in early 2027 on a five-hectare Wetlands by the Bay expansion at Singapore’s Gardens by the Bay, set to open by late 2028.
The project will triple the size of the existing Kingfisher Wetlands, adding over 600 mangroves and coastal plants from countries including Ecuador and Sri Lanka.
It includes a new teamLab flagship museum with a pedal kayak experience blending digital art and nature, a canopy boardwalk linking the MRT station to attractions, a 550-meter bridge over Marina Reservoir, a new dining block, and Glade Lawn, a 3,500 sq m community space.
The development, funded by Gardens by the Bay’s reserves, aims to boost biodiversity, public access, and sustainable tourism.
