Phillies' Johan Rojas appeals 80-game PED suspension, missing 2026 season and World Baseball Classic.
Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Johan Rojas is appealing an 80-game suspension after testing positive for a performance-enhancing drug during the offseason, according to multiple sources. The ban would keep him out of the 2026 season until late June and disqualify him from the World Baseball Classic, where he was set to play for the Dominican Republic. Rojas, 25, made his MLB debut in 2023 and has a .252 career batting average with 51 stolen bases in 250 games. He was demoted last season and is currently 1 for 11 in spring training. The outcome of his appeal remains pending, and MLB has not yet made an official announcement.
