On March 3, 2026, Manipur’s Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh flagged off an 11-day National Integration Tour for 24 youth from the Meitei, Kuki, Naga, and Meitei Pangal communities, organized by the Assam Rifles.
The tour, spanning Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, and West Bengal, aims to foster unity among diverse groups following ethnic violence in 2023.
The CM highlighted the Assam Rifles’ role in relocating over 47,000 people during the conflict, urged forgiveness and reconciliation, and engaged participants personally, including speaking in the Kuki dialect.
A symbolic unity flag was handed to a mixed-community team, and kits were distributed.
The event also featured National Cadet Corps cadets and dignitaries, underscoring youth-led efforts toward national integration.
