Hyundai and Kia set record February sales in the U.S., totaling 137,412 units, a 5% increase year-over-year, driven by strong demand for SUVs and hybrids. Kia sold 66,005 vehicles, its best February ever, led by a 37% surge in Telluride sales and gains in the Sportage, K5, and Niro. Hyundai sold 71,407 units, up 5.7%, with increases in the Palisade and Santa Fe. However, combined EV sales dropped 21.9% to 5,576 units, attributed to tariffs and reduced subsidies, continuing a downward trend seen in early 2026.
