Hundreds of officers conducted a major Anfield crackdown, leading to arrests and searches targeting drugs, fraud, and domestic abuse.
Hundreds of Merseyside Police officers launched a major crime crackdown in Liverpool’s Anfield area, the second large-scale operation since Chief Constable Rob Carden took office in September 2025.
The early-morning effort involved around 300 officers, 14 search warrants, land and underwater searches, roadside checks, and targeted actions against suspects linked to domestic abuse, fraud, and drug offenses.
Police described the operation as a temporary lockdown to disrupt criminal activity and reinforce public safety.
Council leader Liam Robinson praised the effort, stating it sends a clear message that criminals have no place in the community.
The action follows a similar December operation that resulted in 49 arrests.
