Hallie Shoffner, a sixth-generation farmer, won Arkansas’ Democratic primary for U.S. Senate, defeating Lewisville Mayor Ethan Dunbar. She will challenge incumbent Republican Senator Tom Cotton in the November general election. In the 2nd Congressional District, Republican French Hill won re-election, setting up a general election matchup against Democratic nominee Chris Jones. Meanwhile, Democrat Alex Holladay flipped a Republican-held state House seat in a special election.
